Calling All Storytellers!

Do you have an interesting story to tell about someone in your family?  Maybe it’s about a quirky aunt who taught you a life lesson, a long-lost (or never known) relative with whom you’ve re-connected, or a discovery that would amuse or astound!

The Clear Lake Arts Center and Central Gardens of North Iowa are co-hosting an Art of the Story event on April 25, beginning at 6:30 PM. This free-to-the-public event will feature stories around the theme: Families and Other Mysteries: Quirky Stories of Intrigue, Resilience, and Redemption.

We believe everyone has an interesting story to tell and are looking to our neighbors for the extraordinary stories for the Art of the Story.  If selected as a featured storyteller for this event, you’ll be supported by a skilled coach that will help you structure and present your 10-minute story.

The deadline for applications is February 29.  The Art of the Story promises to be a fun and inspirational evening.  So, let’s tell your story! Use this link to submit your story for consideration.

Doors to the Sukup Performing Arts Wing open at 6 pm with wine and beer and light refreshments available for purchase.

The event is free to the public and seating is limited. Use this link to reserve your tickets.
