This third program in the series will be held on Saturday, October 12 at the Clear Lake Art Center, beginning at 6 pm. Modeled after the Moth Story Hour, our Art of the Story event will highlight ordinary north Iowans who have extraordinary tales. Taking a cue from Andy Warhol’s famous quote, five north Iowa residents will share stories around, My Ten Minutes of Fame. Robin Wolfram, local TV personality, will emcee with stories beginning at 6:30 pm.
Doors to the Sukup Performing Arts Wing open at 6 with wine and beer and light refreshments available for purchase.
Betsy Kirby, of Betty and the Gents, will be entertaining with acoustic guitar and singing both at the beginning and in a short intermission.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the Clear Lake Arts Center and from any board member of either the Arts Center or Central Gardens of North Iowa, who are co-collaborators of the series. Over 100 people attended the first Art of the Story event in April and left amused, entertained, and inspired by the stories. These stories promise to be equally rich.
